Air Force One
Harrison Ford is the President who's gotten kidnapped on Air Force One. But he's one tough dude. Didn't see Monica in this one.

Nicholas Cage is a reformed con, trying to get off a hijacked prison airplane that eventually crashes in Las Vegas.
Conspiracy Theory
Mel Gibson is a paranoid who thinks they're out to get him - and this time he's right!
Face/Off
John Travolta (the bad guy) and Nicholas Cage (the good guy) trade faces and go after each other. Lotsa bullets (2nd only to Saving Private Ryan), but most of them miss. If somebody got your face, wouldn't your wife still know if it wasn't you?

The Fifth Element
Bruce Willis in tongue-in-cheek Sci-Fi rescueing a "perfect" girl. I like this one. It reminded me of Bladerunner, but in a more lighthearted way. Chris Tucker is a bit "over the top" in this one.

The Game
Confusingly elaborate mind twister of a plot, but it's all a setup. You never really know what's going on.
Hoodlum
The Mafia in 1930's Harlem. One guy loses his balls and the rest of it's not too believable.
The Jackal
A plot to kill the Presidents wife by a clever assassin (Bruce Willis). And it almost works!
Jurassic Park - The Lost World
Part II of Jurassic Park, OK but not as good as the original. Lots of Tyranosaurus Rex's. Lots of people get eaten and nibbled.
Kiss The Girls
Pretty good "who done it" with a deranged guy burying girls in caves and keeping the cops guessing.
L.A. Confidential
Chinatown genre flick with cops gone bad. I liked it, but then I like all these films with sleezy cops and detectives and a saxophone score.
The Long Kiss Goodnight
Spy versus spy thriller. Kinda average, but OK.
Men In Black
Tongue in cheek SciFi where a covert group keeps the Earth safe from a really big cockroach guy who's looking for the Galaxy on Orion's belt.
Peacemaker
George Clooney smirks his way through an A-bomb hijack plot.
Starship Troopers
The bugs attack and young infantry kids defend! Not as good as the book, but passable. Watch out for those brain bugs - they can suck you dry.
Titanic
Great special effects and boy/girl romance. My favorite for 1997.
Tomorrow Never Dies
James Bond battles a Media Mogul for control of our Remotes. Perception is Reality.
